Weekend Adventures in Orlando
Lately I’ve really been into traveling with the older kids. This past weekend we skipped school and work to head south and enjoy fun in the sun. We ventured off to Orlando and had yet another memory of family travel. Thanks to our friends at Four Seasons Orlando for hosting our stay. When we arrived Friday we checked into our hotel . At first glance the resort is absolutely stunning! The staff is amazing and so helpful, we instantly knew this was going to be a wonderful stay. Upon check in, the kids were given maps which encouraged them to go on a scavenger hunt throughout the property so that they can score the ultimate prize of ICE CREAM. Our room was a King bedroom suite with pull our sofa, I loved that we had 2 full bathrooms and well as a balcony with a park view. This was perfect for viewing the firework show at night.
After checking in we instantly hit the ground running and headed over to Universal Studios. I remember growing up always wanting the opportunity to visit Universal and here I am years latter doing so with my own kids. The great thing about Universal is that you get 3 parks in one so I highly recommend utilizing the two day park passes as well as express line tickets. Having the express line tickets cut our wait in half I will never visit again without these passes as well. The kids and I agree fed that we wanted to go to Harry Potter World first and boy were we in for a treat. Visiting Diagon Alley, checking out wands, riding the train to Hogwarts everything you could imagine they had it, even butter beer! If you have smaller children, don’t worry there’s something for them as well! I highly recommend Dr. Seuss land it was cute and a bit more relaxed when it came to the rides. Our Friday was spent entirely at the park and we felt it the following day.
Saturday we slept in until 9 and decided that we wanted to hang out at the resort for the entire day. We started our day with a wonderful character breakfast with Goofy, Mickey and Minnie. This breakfast was buffet style and everything was delicious. The kids were able to take pictures with the characters and they signed autograph books as well. Elle and Mav are a bit over the character stage but they were good sports when it came to taking pics.
After breakfast I checked the kids into the Four Season Kids club, they did a host of activities, hung out by the pool and I was able to order their lunch there so that I didn’t have to worry about rushing from my spa apportionment.
Once the kids were all settled I headed to the spa to receive the sticks and hot stone massage. I the spa services were amazing, in addiction to my massage I took advantage of amenities such as the experience shower, the steam room, jacuzzi, showers and relaxation room.
Almost 3 hours later I ventured to get the kids and we continued our pool time. One of our fan faves were the water slides! We had the best time racing each other. Maveric’s favorite place on the property was the hide out this is where kids can play games so this was right up his alley. He loved using the Nintendo switch and I honestly enjoyed playing Pac-Man while Elle loved the foosball table.
After our pool day we decided to hangout and watch a movie and eat dinner by the pool. The resort served everyone popcorn and we watched Coco. We spent the entire day relaxing and enjoying the resort property. Just waking or for the kids... running and just enjoying our time together.
Quick trips like these are always a great way to recharge and soak in family time. Some of our other property faves were the volleyball court, volley at the pool as well as basket ball in the pool and on the court. They have an adults only pool, on site bar so that parents can get have some alone time. I would like to thanks Universal Orlando for the complimentary park tickets and especially our friends at The Four Seasons Orlando for hosting our stay!
We cannot wait to come back with the rest of the family! I know that Jagger and Axel will really enjoy the huge splash pad! Be sure to check out our stay in our IG Story Highlight entitled “Travel” for more behind the scenes. Until next time.....
